The high-performance end of the magnets market is led by Rare Earth (RE) based compounds, even though the mining and refinement of these elements is economically and environmentally costly. This makes the search for alternative magnetic materials an essential step towards a sustainable future. Our aim is to find under-studied, existing, Transition Metal (TM)-based magnetic compounds to decrease and, eventually, end the need for Rare Earths.
