Jin Young Kang

Dr. Jin Young Kang is an Assistant Professor at KAIST, specializing in structural biology. She earned her Ph.D. from KAIST under the supervision of Dr. Jie-Oh Lee, focusing on the structural study of Toll-like receptors. She conducted postdoctoral research at the Rockefeller University with Dr. Seth Darst, investigating E.coli RNA polymerase elongation complexes. Since she started her own lab in 2019, she has been investigating prokaryotic transcription regulation involving RNA polymerases, natural product biosynthesis, and time-resolved cryo-EM.
